Coca-Cola Pot Roast

  • 1 1/2-2 lb. boneless beef roast, thawed if frozen
  • 2 potatoes, pared and quartered
  • 3 carrots, pared and cut in thirds
  • 1 onion, peeled and quartered
  • 2 1/2 C hot water
  • 3/4 C chili sauce (from a 12 oz. bottle)
  • 1 can (12 oz.) cola
  • 8 oz. can tomato sauce
  • garlic, oregano and basil to taste

Put vegetables in bottom of 3-4 1/2 qt. crock pot.
Salt and pepper meat and put in crock pot.
Add remaining ingredients and cover.
Cook on Low for 8-10 hours (or High for 4-5 hours).
(Note: if liquid seems to fill too much of crock pot, you can cut back on the amounts as needed.)
